How Dyma UTXO works
From signing in to your share of the pool, in four steps
Step 1: Sign in
With a Cardano wallet (Lace, Eternl, VESPR, Yoroi…), a code sent to your email or a social account. A wallet sign-in is a signature, not a transaction: it costs nothing.
Step 2: Join a campaign
Each campaign groups one project’s quests, with its own points, leaderboard and often a token pool. Its page says who pays the pool and whether it is locked in escrow.
Step 3: Complete quests
Most quests check themselves against the chain or the account you linked; the rest go to the project’s moderators. Points land the moment a quest is verified.
Step 4: Get your share
When the campaign ends, its token pool is split under the rules on its page, by points unless the project chose an equal split. You claim your share, in ADA or the campaign's Cardano token, from the escrow with your wallet while Dyma UTXO pays the network fee, or the project sends it.
- Dyma PointsYour score in each campaign. They rank you on its leaderboard and set your share of its pool.
- ExperienceYour progress across every campaign. XP never resets.
- Token rewardsYour share of a campaign’s token pool, in ADA or a Cardano native token, claimed to your own wallet. Dyma UTXO never holds it.
Common questions
What Dyma UTXO is, what it pays and what it never asks for
What is Dyma UTXO?
Dyma UTXO is a task-to-earn platform for the Cardano ecosystem. Projects publish quests, which are small pieces of real work such as delegating to a stake pool, voting in Cardano governance, shipping code or learning how a protocol works. You complete them, the work is verified, and the reward is credited to your account.
Which networks does it support?
Cardano: on-chain quests are checked on Cardano, and token pools are paid in ADA or Cardano native tokens. Apex Fusion and Midnight are coming next.
Does it cost anything to earn?
No. Browsing and completing quests is free for earners, and Dyma UTXO never charges you to receive a reward. Projects pay to run campaigns. On-chain quests still cost whatever the network charges in fees, which goes to Cardano rather than to Dyma UTXO. Claiming your share of an escrow pool costs you nothing: Dyma UTXO pays that network fee.
What do I actually earn?
Every quest pays Dyma Points and XP. Points measure what you have earned and XP measures your progress as an earner. Some campaigns also have a token pool, in ADA or a Cardano native token: when the campaign ends, the pool is split between its earners under the rules the project set, and each earner claims their share with their wallet, or the project sends it. The campaign page says up front whether it has a pool, who pays it and how it is split.
How is a token pool split?
In proportion to points by default, or equally between qualifying earners if the project chose an equal split. A project can also set a minimum and a maximum payout per earner, pay only its top earners by points, or require a minimum number of Dyma Points to qualify. A share below the minimum is not paid, no one receives more than the maximum, and whatever is not paid out returns to the project. The campaign page lists the rules that apply, and on escrow campaigns they are locked with the pool and cannot change.
How do I sign in?
With a Cardano wallet: Lace, Eternl, VESPR, Yoroi or another CIP-30 wallet in the browser, or inside your wallet app's own browser on a phone. Or with a code sent to your email, or with a Google, X, Discord or GitHub account when the platform has that option turned on. A wallet sign-in is a free signature that proves you control the address, not a transaction.
Do I need a wallet?
You can create an account with just an email, but you need a linked wallet to take part in quests: it is how your completions are tied to an address you own and where token rewards are paid. Linking a Cardano wallet takes two free signatures, one to prove it is yours and one to confirm the address your rewards go to. You can link several and choose which one receives payouts.
Does Dyma UTXO hold my funds or my keys?
No. Dyma UTXO never asks for a recovery phrase or a private key, and signing in or linking a wallet cannot move your funds. Token rewards reach your own wallet, either claimed from an escrow on Cardano or sent by the project running the campaign.
How is my work verified?
Most quests verify themselves. On-chain quests are checked against the chain from a transaction hash or by scanning your address, and social quests are checked through the account you connect. The rest go to the project for review, and the quest says which kind it is before you start.
When do I get my points?
The moment a quest is verified. Automatically verified quests usually take seconds; quests that need a human review take as long as the project needs. There is no separate claim step, and each quest shows its status in My quests.
What if my submission is rejected?
The reason is shown on the quest, and most quests can be attempted again once you have fixed what was wrong. Quests that only run once say so, and repeatable quests show when the next attempt opens.
Are the projects on Dyma UTXO vetted?
Projects on a paid plan can request a verified badge, which the Dyma UTXO team approves manually and which is removed if the plan lapses. Reward tokens go through their own review. Anything unverified is labelled as such, so you can decide what to trust.
I run a project. How do I publish quests?
Campaigns are built in Dyma UTXO Studio, the project side of the platform. You create a project, design a campaign with its quests and an optional token pool, and submit it. Once approved it goes live for the whole Dyma UTXO audience on its start date.
